Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus views the decision to ban export of Russian grain to Belarus as unauthorized.

It has been stated by first assistant of Agriculture minister Nadzeja Katkavets at a press-conference in Minsk.

According to reports, Russian government imposed a temporarily ban on export of wheat and meslin to the countries participants of Customs Union Treaty. This measure to be in effects until April 30.

“This decision shouldn’t have been taken in the case of Belarus, it is ineligible for us,” N. Katkavets stated, adding that imposing such a measure contradicts the agreement signed in the framework of the “union state”. “Proceeding from this agreement, commercial opportunities should be equal for Belarus and Russia, and such a decision should be agreed upon,” the deputy minister noted.
