Bernardians monastery to be turned into museum

An on-line press conference with Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, Archbishop of Minsk and Mahilou, was organised on the site of the National TV Company on Wednesday, 6 February.
The archbishop answered more than 40 questions, including one concerning the Bernardians monastery in Minsk, “Nasha Niva” writes.
– Will the administration of the church conduct active negotiations with the authorities on the St. Josef Church and Bernardians monastery in Minsk?
– We are conducting a dialog. Unfortunately, what concerns the Bernardians monastery, the city hall said it couldn’t be given to us, because it was planned to turn it into a museum. It is the official answer I received. But we continue to negotiate with the city administration.
