Ministry of Internal Affairs: there are many targets for terrorists in Belarus

16:49, — Society

There are many objects on the territory of Belarus that can be attractive for terrorists due to their explosion hazards, Alyaksandr Litvinski, deputy head of the main department on combating organized criminality at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said on the press conference in Minsk.

“There are enough explosion-hazardous plants, pipelines, artillery projectiles depots of the Ministry of Defence on the territory of Belarus. If these objects become targets of terroristic acts, it can cause significance consequences,“ he said. Moreover, dams are also potentially dangerous, as their explosion can lead to flooding of vast areas. The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed necessary work is carried out to prevent all similar actions.

In particular, these measures include cooperation of all security agencies, formation of CIS unified data base, hardening of sanctions for terroristic crimes, etc.
