Radio Svaboda learnt it from his parents and entrepreneur from Vaukavysk Mikalai Autukhovich, who got acquainted with Mikalai Kostyshau in the Minsk colony No 1.
The Russian got 12 years for banditism, but didn’t admit his guilt and insisting on reviewing the case. Mikalai Kostyshau states he was tried in absentia and wasn’t given an opportunity to defend.
According to Mikalai Autukhovich, some days ago Mikalai Kostyshau was transferred from the Minsk colony to the colony No 9 in Navapolatsk. It’s now unknown what is the condition of the prisoner. Prison duty officer said M. Kostyshau was on quarantine.
Earlier Mikalai Kostyshau wrote an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The prisoner asked to transfer him to Russia and review his case, because he “didn’t trust the Belarusian juridical system.”
