Radio Svaboda site is unavailable for two days 8

10:24, — Politics

Site of the Belarusian Radio Svaboda is unavailable for two days. At present the support staff is trying to solve the problems. Radio journalists gave an interview to the Charter’97 press center and said they thought the site is unavailable due to the Chernobyl Way, held on 26 April.

It should be reminded that a DDoS attack on Charter’97 site was continued at 9.00am on 26 April. The site was unavailable.

As we have already informed, on 25 April the support staff of the site recorded a short 30-minute DDoS attack from a little number of IP addresses. The yesterday’s attack was easily repelled. Unfortunately, we faced a serious DDoS attack on 26 April.

Charter’97 site began to work in normal mode only at night of 27 April.

The time and the character of the attack demonstrate that the Belarusian authorities continue to take attempts of blocking unwanted information on the Internet, they even descend to such criminal methods as DDoS.
