Lukashenka’s press-service doesn’t comment on reports about his three sons 2

16:45, — Politics

The head of the press-service of the Belarusian president Pavel Lyohki refused to comment to the BelaPAN the reports that Alyakzsandr Lukashneka has three sons.

The reports that the head of the state has a third son, Mikalay, who is 4 now, appeared in “Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus: on April 28 with a reference to Interfax agency. The reports were connected with the statement of Lukashenka made during the visit to Khojniki district. In particular, answering questions of journalists, the Belarusian leader said: “The issue is being widely discussed everywhere, that this organization [the public association Belaya Rus’] had been tailor-made for the future president, and that my elder son is to become the president. I have said you already: my younger son will be the president of Belarus”.

Besides, the reason for emergence of rumours about the president’s third son was Lukashenka’s appearance in public with a 4-year boy at the republican subbotnik (voluntary Saturday work) on April 19, and during the working visit to Homel region on April 25-27.

“As the head of the press-service of the president, I am responsible for covering activities of Alyaksnadr Lukashenka as an office bearer,” Paval Lyohki said to the BelaPAN. “The family of the president and his private life are issues which are always commented by him. It is not the sphere of the head of the state’s life which I could touch upon in virtue of my official duties”.

Pavel Lyohki however noticed: “It’s a wonderful boy, I saw him. The head of the state even presented him an icon given to him. I wasn’t interested where this boy appeared from, I was not curious about that”.

One should note that there is no information about children in the biography of A. Lukashenka on his official web-page. The public has known about his two sons so far, Viktor (born in the year 1976), and Dzmitry (1979). The first one is the present’s aide on National security and a member of the Security Council, the second is the head of the Presidential Sports club.
