Grassroots protest actions in Polatsk. Some people detained

12:59, — Politics

Militia began to detain people near the Polatsk city court where youth activist Katsyaryna Salauyova has trial. Young Front activists came to the building with banner “Young Front” and shouted “Regime is stinkeroo, Kasya we’re with you!”, “Believe! Can! Win!”, “Long live Belarus!”

As youth leader Paval Sevyarynets told to the Charter’97 press center, militia officers tried to detain the activists, but they sat on the ground and joined hands. However, militiamen catch people by one. Alyaksei Yanusheuki was detained.

Kasya Salauyova is accused of “activity on behalf of unregistered organisation.” She faces up to two years of prison.
