Is Belarus to send military instructors to Venezuela in case of war with Colombia?

Price pressure by Russia has caused the situation when Belarus stepped out of its strategic space, said during a round table discussion “Does lobbyism exist in Belarus?” Director of Minsk Center for Issues of European Integration Yuri Shevtsov. The discussion was held in a press-center of informational agency REGNUM.
As said by the political analyst, the necessary to compensate losses caused in gas sector Belarus, pushed Belarus to actively cultivate markets of a number of countries such as Venezuela and Iran. All actions related to that are held in the framework of the program “Belarus in the 3rd world”.
Yuri Shevtsov informed that the cooperation between Belarus and Venezuela takes place both is economic and military sphere. Russia takes part in that as well. For instance, Minsk creates an air-defence system in Venezuela, and it would be tested on Russian rockets. However Yuri Shevtsov underlines that while it is just a one concrete project for Russia, it is far more important for Belarus.
“In fact, Venezuela granted us admittance to Orinoco oil fields free. Besides, President Chavez, who actively expels Western oil recovering companies from the country, in fact left Venezuela without geologic exploration. Now Belarus will be engaged in that,” Shevtsov stressed.
The Belarusian political analyst has also said that Minsk assumes realization of a number of industrial programs and a few agriculture programs at the territory of Venezuela. Belarusian architects will be busy with the reconstruction of the capital, Carakas. “In fact, we get a possibility to create a second Belarus in Venezuela,” Shevtsov said.
He also told that military cooperation includes sending of military instructors from Belarus to Latin America. “We have prepared to send our military instructors in case of war with Colombia,” he said.
