People in The Hague remembered disappeared in Belarus opposition leaders (Photo) 4

An action in support of relatives of the forcibly disappeared in Belarus opposition leaders and a journalist was held in The Hague on 16 May, the Day of Solidarity.

The organisers of the action are the civil initiative “We Remember” and the Dutch initiative Mission to Minsk.

The peaceful demonstration of solidarity was traditionally held near the building of the Belarusian embassy from 4.00pm till 5.30pm local time. The participants had a banner with portraits of Yury Zakharanka, Viktar Hanchar, Anatol Krasouski, Zmitser Zavadski and text “Involuntary disappeared in Belarus.”

The next Day of Solidarity with the victims of the “last dictatorship of Europe” will be held in the Netherlands on 16 June.
