Young Front member brutally beaten up for “European Belarus” stickers

During the music festival “Beatles Forever!” held last weekend in Lahojak, several young people raised white-red-white flags.

In a few moments furious riot policemen rushed into the crowd with the national flags. They were beating the young men. An activist of the Minks branch of the Young Front Vadzim Khanyauka was among the young people, the press-service of the YF informs.

After a while, when Vadzim left the crowd, one of the riot policemen ran up to him and demanded to show his belongings.

“I had several stickers “European Belarus” in my bag,” Vadzim says. “We had a conversation: “What is that?” – “Stickers”. “I see it myself these are stickers”. And after that the policeman hit me on knees. When I fell, he started to beat me. There were no people around who could help me.

Besides, the riot policemen seized from Vadzim a certificate of the Free Trade Union of Belarus member. By the way, the trade union is officially registered in Belarus.
