Flag from Miron to anniversary of Vasil Bykau

A national white-red-white flag was hung out in honour of Vasil Bykau’s anniversary above Vitsebsk-Polatsk road near Kirauski town on 19 June.

As Radio Svaboda reports, the flag was affixed to 110-kV electric wires.

Vitsebsk oppositionist Barys Khamaida informed about the flag. He told a notice was fixed to the national symbol. It read “to anniversary of Vasil Bykau’s birthday. Our dear Belarusian, we will perform all your covenants! Long live Belarus! Live forever! Miron.”

The all drivers on the highway could see the flag. The flag was removed with the help of special equipment only in the morning of 29 June.
