Signatures for Belarus’ joining the EU collected in Salihorsk (Photo)

Members of Salihorsk branch of the “Young Front” have started to collect signatures in support of Belarus’ joining the EU.

The collection of signatures is taking place in busy spots of the city. Over the weekend several hundreds signatures have been collected, and a great quantity of informational booklets “What the EU could give Belarus” has been distributed.

“Salihorsk dwellers are signing the address actively. Discontentment with the government is felt greatly, and most often that is a reason why Salihorsk dwellers leave signatures. People are still hoping for changes and see European integration as an alternative to the today’s situation in the country. The elder’s generation’s dissatisfaction, who have been always believed to be supporters of Lukashenka, is impressing too. Some people were surprisingly well-informed in Belarusian politics, told the participant of the collection of signatures in Salihorsk Alyaksei Valabueu.
