Nasta Palazhanka: “Youth will organise own campaign - campaign of boycott of the “elections”” 2

15:24, — Politics

“The youth is disappointed in elections. It is clear from the statements of the authorities’ representatives that the “elections” won’t be democratic. The Young Front believes these “elections” are another game of the authorities,” Young Front activist Nasta Palazhanka said.

“The Young Front will organise its own campaign – a campaign of boycott of these elections, which will be held under the slogan “Belarus, your voice has been already stolen, only on the square you can defend it”. The Young Front prepares people for coming to streets to demonstrate there are lots of us,” Palazhanka told in an interview to Radio Svaboda.

“Many people say, we are given a chance and we should use it. Some run in the elections to obtain a mandate. All of us remember statement of Lukashenka that some opposition figures would get seats in the “parliament”. It will allow to demonstrate to the international community how democratic our “parliament” has become – we have opposition representatives here, everything is normal, the elections have been democratic, there has been no rigging,” the youth activist thinks.

“Nevertheless, thee people won’t be able to solve a situation, influence any issues,” the Young Front member notes.
