Alyaksandr Lukashenka demands to improve quality of harvesting and threatens to bring to criminal responsibility those, who won’t prevent crop losses.

“It is a crime to lose bread-corn against the background of food crisis, when grain is more often spoken about than oil and gas,” A. Lukashenka said during his working trip to Kamaynets district (the Brest Region), Interfax reports.

“Bring to criminal responsibility everyone, who doesn’t understand it,” the president emphasised. According to him, “bread-corn prices are crazy now, it is a crime not to harvest it in proper way. They don’t understand until couple of people are thrown to prison.”

“I’m not going to teach, I just begin to fulfil my promises. I warned everyone last year: who doesn’t carry out commissions, will not remain in his or her post,” A. Lukashenka said.

The head of state said was interested in the process of harvesting. Lukashenka was reported that 8.3-8.4 million tons of grain is planned to be harvested in all types of farms. The average crop capacity must be 32 centners per hectare this year.
