Fascist attacked Lithuanian embassy in Minsk

A vandalism act was committed against Lithuanian embassy in Belarus 25 July at night.

As “Nasha Niva” learnt from second secretary of the embassy Kristina Pakinte, bottles with paint and national-bolshevist party leaf-lets were thrown at the building at night, the fence was drawn with NBP symbols.

Lithuania’s ambassador to Lithuania Edminas Bagdonas expressed his protest to officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Belarus and demanded to clear pout the situation to find the guilty persons and adhere to norms of Vienne Conference of 1961.

The fact is investigated. Documents accept for has been suspended.

It should be reminded that Viktar Ivashkevich, deputy head of the Belarusian Popular Front, called on militia to turn their attention to pro-fascist organisations after 4 July blast in Minsk.

“A year ago a bomb was fixed to the doors of the BPF office. Officers of the Tsentralny district militia department called combat engineers. The bomb appeared to be a hoax, stuffed with NBP leaf-lets of the NBP and an organisation of communist youth.

We said to militia these jokes with bombs would come to no good, so these “humorists”. But the authorities didn’t find them. It seems that the action was organised by those who stand against independence of Belarus. In general, these are the organisations that stand for liquidation of Belarus and its annexation by Russia. The authorities should turn their attention to these terroristic organisations, whose terroristic hooligan acts against patriotic Belarusian organisations is well known,” Viktar Ivashkevich told in an interview to the Charter’97 press center.

Instead of this, the authorities are arrest, calling for interrogations and searching opposition activists, while pro-fascist organisations continue their disorderly activity.
