Ideologists for work with youth to appear even in private companies

A position of a specialist for work with youth in offered to be introduced at state enterprises and in private companies of Belarus.

This position is planned to be imposed under the Law “On fundamentals of state youth policy” which had been approved by the “council of republic” in Minsk, «Interfax» infroms.

“An expert for work with youth should work at every state enterprise, it is very important,” said the reporter on the draft law, chair of the education, science, culture and social development committee of the “council of republic” Antanina Morava.

She hasn’t specified what exactly would belong to duties of a specialist for work with the youth, however she noted that “primarily, its work would concern culture”.

Besides, the law establishes the age limits for persons who are called “youth” under the law, which is 14-31.

Issues of youth volunteer movement development, creation of students’ brigades are also included in the law.

“This draft law is the first one in the CIS countries. With its help we would be able to support young people in solving their housing problems, receiving education. Every year on March 15 a report on youth policy is planned to be prepared and offered for the “council of ministers,” Morava said.

Answering the question of journalists about allocation of state funds for support of youth movements, she noted that money would be allocated on a competitive basis.

“We have 37 organisations in our register, 15 of them receive state support,” Morava said.

“The Belarusian Republican Youth Union is the largest public association, we also have “Free Labour League”, which also has a right for certain state support,” she noted. “Free Labour League is working in the sector of employment,” Morava said.

We remind that the BRYU is a pro-regime organization financed by the state budget.
