Belarusian Tennis player won tournament in Miami (Photo, video)

Victoria Azarenka of Belarus has won in the prestigious WTA tournament. She defeated the top-ranked Serena Williams.

During the game the American tennis was bothered by an injured left thigh, which considerably influenced her game. Struggle took place only in the first set, while the second was a complete failure for Serena.

In the final game Serena Williams was upset by Azarenka 6-3, 6-1.

“It is a great honour for me to play with Serena. She is a great tennis player.

I hope next year she will be more successful,” Victoria said at the award-giving ceremony. “I was very nervous during the match point, but I managed to compose my nerves and win”.

The confident win of Victoria Azarenka brought her 700 thousand dollars, 1000 points in WTA rating and the third title this season.
