More than 5000 zombie computers are supposed to be involved in the attack.
Such attacks are conducted with the help of botnets, compromised computers under remote control.
Users of zombie computers don’t suspect the computers are involved in an attack. On a command of a hacker, a botnet begins to send requests to the website attacked such that it cannot respond to legitimate traffic.
