The Security Council was ordered to forecast possible steps of Russia “on infliction of economic damage”.
It was said today by Andrei Shved, head of the legal department of the State Secretariat of the Security Council, BelTA reports.
“In view of Russia’s unfriendly actions and the fact executives of the Russian governmental bodies don’t perform international obligations taken by Russia, president of the Republic of Belarus ordered the State Secretariat of the Security Council to take necessary measures to forecast further possible actions aimed at infliction of economic damage to our country and to protect national security of Belarus,” he said.
According to Andrei Shved, a plan of joint actions of national security agencies and other governmental bodies on forecasting possible events in protection of economic security of the country and taking necessary measures is being working out.
“We also take into consideration that actions and decisions of some governmental bodies of Russia may be unpredictable and inappropriate,” the head of the legal department of the Security Council State Secretariat emphasized.
Besides, the recent irresponsible statements made by anonymous sources in the Russian President’s Administration are regarded by Belarus as “infringement upon the sovereign right of our people to elect the country’s leadership by means of open, fair, and democratic elections,” Andrei Shved said.
