White-red-white flag waving above Pleshchanitsy (Photo)

Activists of the civil campaign “European Belarus” continue a campaign of hanging out national flags.

A flag was hung out above Pleshchanitsy urban settlement (the Lahoisk district, the Minsk region). Oppositionists fixed a white-red-white flag on a 100-meter tower, seen from all points of the town and from Minsk–Vitsebsk highway, jeans-by.com reports. National flags have begun to appear more often in Belarusian regions.

We remind that the first action demanding to legalize the white-red-white flag was carried out from April 14 to May 14 ahead of the anniversary of the referendum on changing the national symbols. National flags appeared in the center of Minsk every day. The action has continued since June 14. Flags above the city will appear every day unless the authorities lift a ban on their public use and return the status of a national symbol to the white-red-white flag. Besides, white-red-white flags will appear in other Belarusian towns.
