“The main office of the CIS observation mission has been set up. Regional offices of the mission will soon be opened in all the region centers of Belarus. This will help facilitate the work of the observers in the regions, maintain close contacts with territorial and district election commissions, meet with representatives of the presidential candidates, voters and other participants of the electoral process,” the CIS Executive Committee said.
According to the press service, 27 international observers from the CIS member states have been accredited. Representatives of the observation mission submitted a request to the Supreme Court, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the CEC asking to inform the mission office about complaints and claims of the violation of the electoral law and the results of the investigation.
