A district militia officer told mother of Young Front activist Pyotr Ruzau a criminal case was instigated against her son.

This is the second criminal case against the Young Front activist from Baranavichy initiated by investigative bodies on a request of the military enlistment office, Radio Svaboda reminds.

Pyotr Ruzau got two fines last year for he had failed to appear before a medical board in the military enlistment office. The prosecutor’s office initiated a criminal case against him.

The case was closed after the guy has filed a certificate saying he was a student of Poznan university.

Now, the youth activist is accused of draft evasion and suspected of forgery. Investigators think Pyotr Ruzau forged the certificate and demand him to return to Belarus to give evidence.

Baranavichy investigators also want to see Syamyon Bylinski, a friend of Pyotr Ruzau, who studies in Poland as a student of Kalinouski educational programme. He got a Br1,750,000 fine last year for draft evasion. A criminal case for failure to pay the fine may be instigated against him.

According to Young Front press secretary Tatsyana Shaputska, Baranavichy activists got used the fat they are called to military offices on far-fetched ground ahead of opposition demonstrations in Minsk.
