Homel dwellers call on Russia and Belarus to recognize independence of North Ossetia

A group of Homel dwellers sent an open statement to the governmental bodies of Belarus and Russia.
The initiative belongs to activist Ihar Sluchak. He is a student, participant of the civil movement. He is going to run as a candidate for the Homel city council at the local elections in Maladzyozhny constituency #30, the newspaper “Nasha Niva” reports.
“How can the southern part of Ossetia be recognized, but the northern part not recognized?” the Homel dwellers wonder in the statement.
The statement was sent to the “house of representatives” and “council of the republic” of Belarus and governmental bodies of Russia.
