Belarusian riot militia defends Lukashenka and Hitler (Video)

Riot militia officers arrested the youth activists, who were trying to give BRSM members footage of Lukashenka praising Hitler.

A CD, the Young Front activists were going to leave in the office of the pro-governmental Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM), contained videos of Alyaksandr Lukashenka praising Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany of the 1930s. The statement that the Belarusian ruler made in an interview to German newspaper Handelsblatt in 1995, was later repeated by the Belarusian radio.

The BRSM has its headquarters near Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s administration. Riot militiamen detained Young Front leaders Anastasia Palazhanka, Mikalai Dzemidzenka, Anastasia Loika, Uladzimir Yaromenka and Radio Svaboda photo correspondent Uladzimir Hrydzin.

All detainees were taken to the Leninski district militia department in Minsk.

We remind that war veterans and BRSM members hold pickets near the office of independent newspaper “Narodnaya Volya” in Minsk. They protest against the article disputing certain events of the Great Patriotic War. The paper thinks it is pressed on an order from above.

In this regard the Belarusian independent mass media found it necessary to remind that Alyaksandr Lukashenka is the only head of state who said that one can learn some things from one of the most atrocious dictators of the 20th century and ”not everything connected with that well-known figure Hitler was bad”. So, veterans and BRSM activists should better protest in front of Lukashenka’s administration.
