Natallya Radzina: "Asinine ears stick out a mile from "hunter's case"

Police does not want to return computers sezied from them allegedly in the framework of the "hunters' case".

Today a journalist of charter97.org website Natallya Radzina, the editor-in-chief of "Narodnaya Volya" Svyatlana Kalinkina, the deputy editor of "Narodnaya Volya" Maryna Koktysh and a journalist of the Russian newspaper "Novaya gazeta" Iryna Khalip have been summoned to the police. A senior interrogating officer of Homel Interior Affairs department Alyaksandr Puseu familiarized the journalists with the results of the repeated computer and technical expert examination of the computers seized from them. According to the conclusions, experts of the Main Criminal Expertise Centre of the Inetrnal Affairs Ministry of Belarus allegedly have studied all the contacts of the journalists in Skype and QIP.

The computers haven't been returned to the journalists. They were said that they are "physical evidence" in the criminal case. Svyatlana Kalinkina and Maryna Koktysh were given back their memory sticks only.

As for the computers seized in charter97.org office, re-examination was made to find out whether administering of charter97.org website had been made on them. In the conclusion of the expert it was said that they could not say definitely whether administering of the website had been made on those computers.

"Puseu could not explain me how administering of charter97.org website was connected to the opened criminal case. Moreover, according to the new examination, no materials discrediting honour and dignity of the KGB man Ivan Korzh have been found in my computers. I was not asked a single question in "the hunters' case". It is obvious that police is not interested by that. The main thing for them now is the work of oppositional web resources.

As for the experts' conclusion, I do not trust them. Comupters were seized with violation of the law. The serial numbers of system blocks had not been copied. I was beaten. What trust to the police could exist here, when despite of the results of the forensic medical examination which recorded signs of beating, the prosecutor's office stated that there was no beating? It is clear that there is no "hunters' case" in reality -- only prssure on independent journalists and all dissenters. And today the asinine ears of the organisers are seen to anyone," stated the journalist of charter97.org website Natallya Radzina.
