Belarus and Congo turned out to be ideal friends

The government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo plans to organize an exhibition of Belarusian machines in Kinshasa.

BelaPAN has been informed about that by Communications and Mass media Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Lambert Mende Omalanga, who visits Belarus as a member of this country’s delegation.

Other members of the delegation are industry minister, the director general of the administrative office of the parliament, other representatives of the state bodies of the DRC and an advisor of the South African multibusiness company Africa Union Holdings, a partner of the government of the DRC.

As said by the interlocutor of the agency, the delegation had arrived wit the aim to establish contacts with Belarus, which is poorly known in Congo. “Considering the policy of reforms, which is carried out in our country, we feel the necessity to be more open,” he explained. “We also need support in some spheres, firstly in the scientific-technical sphere.”

In the framework of the visit meetings of the delegation with Information Minister and Industry Minister of Belarus, representatives of business circles have taken place. The delegation has visited Tractor Building Plant and Automobile Plant, held talks in the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“We have become interested in the prospects of cooperation with Belarus in the area of industry, modern technologies, information, communications and mass information, but especially in the area of agriculture mechanizing,” Lambert Mende Omalanga said. “We hope that all Belarusian enterprises, which we have managed to met, will take part at the exhibition which is planned by us jointly with Africa Union Holdings in Kinshasa. We believe that our country should learn about Belarusian technologies.”
