Penal colony ignores complaints by Mikalai Statkevich’s wife

The administration of Shklou colony has not reacted in any way the complaints of Maryna Adamovich, the wife of a presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich, concerning violations of safety rules in the colony.

Maryna Adamovich, a common-law wife of the presidential candidate, has received answers from Shklou colony in the Corrections department concerning failure to issue documents necessary for conclusion of marriage between Statkevich and Adamovich, Radio Svaboda informs.

“I am sent away again because of papers which should not be provided by me if we take a closer look at the law,” Maryna Adamovich said.

In addition, the wife of the political prisoner notes that representatives of the colony have not responded to her complaint against violations of safety rules at a working place, where Mikalai Statkevich had been traumatized: he fell, injured his arm and broke a rib.
