It could be a revenge for the principled stand of Poland on the issue of political prisoners’ release.
Today “deputies” of the “chamber of representatives’” (the lower chamber of the “parliament”) Standing committee on International affairs and ties with the CIS have offered to check the Pole’s Card (Karta Polaka) for compliance with the generally accepted principles and norms of the international law.
Such a decision was passed by them at the session of their commission. They plan to go to the Constitutional Court of Belarus in order to review the Polish law “On Pole’s Card” for compliance with generally accepted principles and norms of the international law.
A member of this commission Valyantsina Leanenka in conversation with Radio Svaboda confirmed this information. However the “MP” refused to comment on this information:
“Tomorrow a meeting of the extraordinary session of the “chamber” will take place, and there you are to learn the details of this issue,” she said.
On February 23 at 4 p.m. the plenary session of the “chamber of representatives” is to start. Initially it was called only to rubberstamp the programme of Mikhail Myasnikovich’s government for 2011-2015.
