The Polish Foreign Minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, awarded the former head of the Union of Poles of Belarus, Andżelika Borys, with a diploma for her outstanding services in the worldwide promotion of Poland.
The MFA notes that “for many years Andżelika Borys has contributed to promoting Polish culture, history and tradition and Poland’s good name”. The diploma to Andżelika was handed in by MFA Secretary of State Jan Borkowski.
A decision was award Borys was taken in 2010, but she was unable to accept the diploma earlier, Euroradio reports with a reference to PAP, a Polish news agency.
We remind that the Polish media have recently received fake messages on behalf of the Polish MFA that states Poland does not support the independent Union of Poles of Belarus.
