Andrei Bandarenka declared not guilty and set at liberty. After 2 years

On March 22 Minsk city court passed a verdict to a businessman and a members of the United Civil Party Andrei Bandarenka.

Bandarenka was declared not guilty “for absence of crime in the act” and released from custody in the courtroom, Radio Svaboda informs.

The businessman and member of the United Civil Party Andrei Bandarenka has served 2 years of imprisonment. Earlier he had been found guilty of a theft and deceitful practices. His case had been reconsidered twice over this time.

The Supreme Court has lodged a protest, and presidium of Minsk city court accepted this protest on the previous verdict. And now this case was tried by Minsk city court as by the court of primary jurisdiction.

In 2008 Andrei Bandarenka ran for a deputy seat in the “chamber of representatives”, but he lost. Bandarenka tried to challenge the results of the voting.
