European Commission will not comment on ravings of “ordinary citizen” (Video)

The European Commission is not going to comment on Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s statement addressed to European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso.
“We do not recognize him a democratically elected president of the Republic of Belarus. The European Commission does not have a practice of commenting statements of ordinary citizens,” a source in the European Commission in Brussels said to Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
Besides, the interlocutor of the news agency has also stated that the information Jose Manuel Barroso had make it a condition that he would participate in Chernobyl summit provided the Belarusian president does not, does not reflect the reality. “Such a condition had never been made. It is not clear who stood to gain from disseminating false information,” the source said.
Olivier Bailly, a spokesperson of the European Commission, has reaffirmed to the agency the stance of the European Commission not to comment of the statement by Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
