Ales Kirkevich and Andrei Pratasyenya brought accusations

Young Front activist Ales Kirkevich and programmer Andrei Pratasyenya, 27, were brought accusations on April 2, 2011.

The preliminary investigation department of the Minsk Main Police Directorate accuses the participants of the events of December 19 under part 2 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (mass riot), the press service of the Interior Ministry reports.

Young Front deputy head Ales Kirkevich served 10 days of administrative arrest for taking part in a solidarity action. Later, on January 28, he was detained as a suspect in the criminal case of the so called mass riot. Ales Pratasyenya was arrested on February 9. Both of them are in jail.

They and their lawyers are soon to start examining the materials of the criminal case.
