Parcels to the KGB Detention Center are accepted only twice a month

New regulations were introduced several days ago. Due to them Zmitser Bandarenka’s family members can’t send necessary medications for him.

Political prisoner Zmitser Bandarenka spine condition has exacerbated. His request for hospitalization has been rejected.

“He’s got spinal hernia, it affects his leg. Most likely conditions of life there caused deterioration, which resulted into exacerbation; he consulted a doctor at the Detention Center, who’s present there to render minor medical aid. But he [Zmitser] has got a serious concern. I tried to write them asking to hospitalize him, but they say it’s ruled out”, - Zmitser’s father Yauhen Bandarenka told Radio Ratsiya.

According to Yauhen Bandarenka’s words, yet a KGB Detention Center doctor examined Zmitser but turned down his appeal to consult a neurologist. The doctor only prescribed medicaments. Medications have to be bought and sent to the Detention Center, where parcels, after the latest innovations, are allowed only twice a month. The political prisoner family members are worried that his therapy process, if this is an appropriate name for it, may stretch far into the future.
