Prosecutor General about terrorist’s motive: He is addle-brained

The investigation in the case over Minsk metro bombing does not have data proving that political or other forces stand behind the perpetrators.

“It is not seen that any political or other forces stand behind these people,” Belarusian Prosecutor General Ryhor Vasilevich said Thursday in the Belarusian parliament, Interfa-Zapad news agency reports.

Speaking about motives of the crime, Vasilevich noted: “What a motive can a person have to commit a crime resulting in human victims?” “This man is sane. But he is undoubtedly addle-brained,” the Prosecutor General said.

According to him, “Investigators are working thoroughly. We plan to send this case to court as soon as possible.” “It will be clear within the next two months when the case will be submitted to court,” Vasilevich said.

Two accused in the case of the Minsk metro terrorist attack are in custody; the rest suspected were released, Belarusian Prosecutor General Ryhor Vasilevich said.
