Searches in flat and office of human rights activist held in Hrodna

Viktar Sazonau, a human rights activist detained in Hrodna, was taken to his office in Budyonny Street by policemen, and they searched the office.

Two computer system blocks and books on human rights issues were confiscated.

After that Sazonau was taken away by two policemen in mufti and one in uniform. The mobile phone of the detained was switched off. Simultaneously searches were held in the flat of the human rights activist, and computer was confiscated there as well.

The human rights activist was released late at night. He was promised the confiscated materials would be read by experts. They are to decide whether a report about illegal production and dissemination of printed materials would be drawn up or not. Sazonau hadn’t been served any summons yet.

We remind that Viktar Sazonau was detained yesterday at the rally in support of Ales Byalyatski.
