Grybauskaite sees guarantor of Belarusian independent in the dictator?

The President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite slammed on the Belarusian opposition for a good attitude towards Russia and a desire to get money.

“On a closer view, nine of ten Belarusian presidential candidates received financing and support from the Kremlin,” the head of state said on Tuesday in an interview to the Lithuanian radio.

She thinks that certain representatives of the Belarusian opposition speak little about the independence, but just want to “get more money”.

“When you talk to or hear certain opposition representatives talking to each other, in most cases we do not hear that their prior task is independent Belarus. We almost do not hear this. We hear more often that they need more money and that Russia is their friend. Of course, this gives us a reason for concern, because LIthunia’s national interest is to have an independent neighbour, an independent country,”Grybauskaite says.
