BelaPAN: Sannikov is in detention facility Nr4 in Mahilou

Belarusian presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov is in a detention facility Nr4 in Mahilou.

BelaPAN news agency learnt this from the detention facility staff.

Local democratic activists of Our House and European Belarus civil campaigns Khrystsina Shatikava and Tomas Yakavitski visited the Mahilou detention facility today.

According to an officer on duty, Sannikov’s health was “normal”, because prisoners are not transported if they need any medical aid.

The detention facility staff did not say how long Sannikov would stay in Mahilou and where he would be transferred to.

As reported earlier, Sannikov’s wife Iryna Khalip received a telegram from the chief of the Navapolatsk penal colony on September 21 saying that Sannikov had been sent to penal colony Nr2 in Babruisk on September 20. No reasons for the transfer were given.
