Ministry of Justice freezes process of BCD registration

The Ministry of Justice has suspended a process of registration of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party for a month.

The ministry sent an appropriate letter to the BCD organizing committee on January 11, “Belorusskie Novosti” reports.

The BCD considers the suspension of the registration process and the recently increased pressure on the founders and activists to be linked. BCD leaders Vital Rymasheuski and Dzyanis Sadouski plan to discuss this theme at a press conference scheduled for 11:00 am on January 13 in the BPF party office.

We remind this is the fourth attempt of the BCD to register the party officially. The Ministry of Justice earlier denied registration on different grounds.
