In an interview to Chinese mass media Lukashenka was raining compliments upon China.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka sees increase of another financial crisis, and believes that China and the US could have prevented it.

“The manifestations of the crisis are obvious. Even the IMF head says that it will be a crisis, and that it can end in a depression more awful than in the 1930ies. But the crisis could be prevented, at this stage the crisis could be coped with, if there is a desire of all world players,” he said in an interview to Chinese mass media, Interfax-Zapad reports.

“We have passed the point of no return; we have not got stuck in these crisis phenomena. That is why we should prevent the crisis, and China should take the lead role the in that, together with the US,” the Belarusian president stressed.

As said by him, “it [the world crisis] is dangerous for all”. “Look what is happening in the US, they are distancing themselves from Europe, they are sugarcoating the reality in some way. A. Lukashenka has a pessimistic view of the situation developments in the world political scene this year. “We’d most like changes for the better, but there is a very negative background of the last year, which continues into this year,” he noted.

If the situation explodes there, where 40% of the world oil is produced, hard times for the entire planet are to come,” Lukashenka said.

“Thus I would not expect the year 2012 to be cloudless. But I would like everything to be more serene,” the dictator noted.

Will China suggest something?

Alyaksandr Lukashenka finds it possible to carry out political reform in the country after the parliamentary election, which is to take place in autumn this year.

“Today we are studying certain tendencies in the world, and certainly we shall accommodate ourselves to that, and modernize our political system. We shall hold the parliamentary election and I think that we should pay serious attention to the political reform, or reform of the political system of our country,” he said.

“We shall agree to that, though there is no catastrophe in this sphere in our country. But we should always be one step ahead the processes which will happen here,” the Belarusian dictator said.

Speaking about the possibility of carrying out political reform in the country, A.
