Detention facility refuses to pass water to hunger striker Kavalenka

The wife of the political activist was not allowed to pass a parcel.

Syarhei Kavalenka, an activist of CCP BPF party from Vitsebsk, has been on hunger strike for the 16th day. He protests against unfair, in his opinion, accusation of evasion of serving sentence. According to Alena Kavalenka, she was not permitted to pass drinking water to her husband. The woman thinks these actions by the detention facility administration can be called ill-treatment of a person who holds a hunger strike and has a number of chronic diseases, Euroradio reports.

Alena Kavalenka wants to see her husband to persuade him to stop hunger strike. The woman worries about his health and consequences of a long-term denial of food.
