Belarusbank disproves the halt in state programs crediting

In the bank they assure that the issue of the loans goes on.

“In relation to the insinuations around the halt of crediting and acute liquidity deficiency  the public corporation Belarusbank says the following. The bank fulfills all its obligations in providing loans to enterprises and other subjects of economy in the framework of state programs as well as the one of other projects. There are no liquidity problems in the bank. It doesn’t use the resource backing of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. The interest rates on the loans in Belarusian roubles haven’t changed change significantly”, - it is said in the bank’s press-release.

Yesterday member of the “council of the republic” Hanna Shareika said that state banks had stopped to finance government programmes. She addressed this question to Belarusian minister of finance Andrei Kharkavets during a discussion of the draft law on state budget for 2013 in the “council of the republic”.

“Neither Belagroprombank, nor Belarusbank and Belinvestbank give loans,” she says.
