Opposition activists detained for performance against Belarusian TV

Aleh Korban and Uladzimir Syarheyeu were detained.

The young people were taken to Minsk's Partyzanski district police department. Policemen don't inform about the further fate of the activists, Radio Svaboda reports.

Activists of the organization “Alternative” held a performance to show their protest against propaganda on state-run television.

They placed a TV set with the Belarusian television logo  on the corner of Nyamiha nad Haradski Val Streets and scattered noodles around it as an illustration of the Russian idiom “to hang noodles on one's ears” which means to talk nonsense and fool someone.
