Vladimir Andreichenko has been named chairman of the «house of representatives».
MPs elected the chairman through a secret ballot. Of 108 MPs 105 voted for Vladimir Andreichenko. Three ballots were declared invalid.
Vladimir Andreichenko was Chairman of the «house of representatives» of the fourth convocation. From November 1994 till October 2008, he was Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee. He also served as a member of the «council of the republic» of the first, second and third convocations, was member of the BSSR Supreme Council of the twelfth convocation.
MPs supported Vladimir Andreichenko’s candidature and took note of his professional skills and personal qualities.
