Mikalai Autukhovich had information about corruption among officials, secret service officers and policemen, He tried to do something with it, but got arrested. Mikalai Autukhovich was detained on February 8, 2009. The Supreme Court of Belarus sentenced him to five years and 2 months in a maximum security penal colony on May 6, 2010. On January 17, 2012, the court set stricter confinement conditions for him and he was moved from penal colony No. 15 in Ivatsevichy to prison No. 1 on Hrodna.
