Authorities threaten Starobin residents with fines for complaining about Chupakabra

The loss of the domesticated animals was not the only problem for the victims of so-called Starobin Chupakabra.

After a number of TV reports about extraordinary events in Starobin the local authorities and representatives of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology actively approached solving the pressing issue. Although the approach turned out to be no a standard one, the human rights center Viasna reports.

Human rights defenders in Saligorsk received a number of complaints from the residents of Starobin about unexpected measures of the district’s authorities as to the fight with the unknown creature.

Turns out that the residents, who suffered the most from the mythical Chupakabra and actively complained to officials about that matter, fell under additional pressure on the part of the authorities.

Now their backyards are facing a sanitary inspection. The owners of the premises in the outskirts of Starobin, where the locals have been keeping animals for long time and who fell first victims of Chupakabra, were greatly shocked. Threatening with fines the officials ordered Starobin residents to demolish the premises.

What concerns the search for the unknown predator, they haven’t yet managed to catch it, the local human rights activists report.

Though there were no cases of domestic animals’ deaths reported last week in Starobin.
