They demand Volchak to submit an income statement for ten years

The head of the civic organization “Legal assistance to people” Aleg Volchak has to submit an income property statement covering the past ten years.

Such a demand he received from the inspection of the Ministry of Taxation and Tallage for the Frunze district in Minsk, naviny.by report.

“A literally did not have time to fulfill this demand, - the human rights activist says. – The thing is that the demand, which dates back to 27 September, was sent via mail with a notification. I was informed that I had to declare my incomes from 2002 to 2011 inclusive, no later than 25 October 2012. However, the letter was sent to the address where I do not live, that is why I, so to say, accidentally received it in the middle of October. I cannot claim that it was done maliciously, but I have no doubts that the fiscal inspection in this case is used as an instrument for pressing me for my human rights activities”.

We would remind that in the current year Aleg Volchak was twice held administratively responsible for allegedly swearing in public. He spent thirteen days in an isolation ward. He also had the experience of being included in the so-called “list of the people not allowed to leave the country”. His last name due to an alleged technical mishap fell in the police database of the people who were temporarily limited in their right to go abroad.
