A procession to the place of the shootings of the repressions victims in the Loshytski Yar was held in Minsk.
Couple dozen people took part in the procession. They carried the national white-red-white flags in their hands. The participants of the procession were sang patriotic songs and chanted “Long live Belarus!”, Nasha Niva reports.
The procession ended in Loshytski Yar, where a small meeting was organized.
Police filmed the participants of the action.
Loshytski Yar is the place where NKVD carried out mass shootings in 1937-1941. The number of the victims remains unknown.
In 1988 the gully, where the shootings were carried out, was filled up and a block of garages built at the place.
