Chauvinistic spam being sent out on behalf of BCD party

It is not the first attempt to discredit the pro-opposition Belarusian website.

A sole proprietor “Mikalai Silivonchyk” sends out chauvinistic spam on behalf of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party (BCD) from the e-mail mail@112233.info. Messages are aimed at incitement of national hatred in Belarus and outside the country, including against Belarus.

The information was spread by the BCD press service.

The mailing list includes a number of email addresses from BCD's mailing list. “Your email has been found on http://bchd.info/, so you have been subscribed to receive news,” the messages read.

It remains unknown how sole proprietor “Mikalai Silivinchyk” got an access to email addresses from BCD's mailing list.

“If cases of sending out spam on behalf of the BCD party occur again, the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party will have to take appropriate measures,” the press service notes.

The BCD also reminds the BCD websites met a DDoS attack on February 17 and remained blocked for the whole day.

We remind it is not the first attempt to discredit the Belarusian pro-opposition site. Earlier, similar spam was sent out on behalf of charter97.org. Such spam messages can make users to request their hosting-providers and domain name registrar to block the site, Electroname reports.
