The former president of Kyrgyzstan also bought a $2 million house on the outskirts of Minsk.

As TUT.by website has learned, Kurmanbek Bakiyev received his Belarusian passport in August 2010 at one of police departments in Minsk.

A decision on granting Belarusian citizenship is taken by Lukashenka personally on the ground of a personal application. The information has not been confirmed officially.

The former Kyrgyz president is also reported to buy a plot of land outside Minsk.

The Kyrgyz media informed on February 8 Bakiyev bought a $2 million house on the outskirts of Minsk. He was earlier reported to have lived in a governmental residence in Byarezinski Reserve.

It should be reminded that Kurmanbek Bakiyev was put on the CIS wanted list and the Interpol wanted list on May 8, 2010. He is charged with complicity in the mass killing. The ex-president has been hiding in Belarus since April 2010.
