General Prosecutor’s Office continues inspection in Sannikov’s case

The General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus accomplishes the inspection of circumstances of filing “a petition for pardon” by a presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov.

The General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus brings to conclusion the inspection of the statements by certain persons in the mass media that A. Sannikov had written a petition for pardon under pressure, the website of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus informs.

At the moment the materials are being carefully studied. After their generalization is made and a relevant conclusion is prepared, it is to be forwarded to the Pardons Commission under Lukashenka, which is to consider it in accordance with the procedure, rules and regulations.
